ANIMAL CONTROL ADVISORY BOARD

 

Establishment:
  The Animal Control Advisory Board was established by the Sugar Land City Council June 1992.
   
Purpose:
  To make recommendations relative to the planning and implementation of procedures, rules, regulations and/or other legally mandated requirements.
   
Membership:
  Four members consisting of one licensed veterinarian, one city official, one person whose duties include the daily operation of the shelter and one representative from an animal welfare organization.
     
Terms:
  All members of boards and commissions serve a one-year term, beginning on October 1 in the year appointed and ending on September 30 of the following year. A member may not be appointed for more than eight consecutive terms.
