Surveillance Video Identifies Suspect in Burglaries

Sugar Land, TX - Sugar Land police are looking for a man seen on surveillance video burglarizing a home in the 3300 block of Big Horn Court on July 16.

A woman said her boyfriend left their garage door open while running an errand. They discovered a chainsaw and a lawn blower were missing later that day. A review of their home surveillance video showed a man in a tan Mercury Grand Marquis or Ford Crown Victoria park near their house just after 8 a.m., exit the vehicle, enter their garage and leave with the missing items.

Police have identified the man as a suspect in two other crimes, including a burglary that occurred on July 28 in the 4500 block of Misty Mill sometime between 9-10 a.m. A woman said her daughter left their garage door open, and someone took a power washer.

A man who lives in the 1300 block of Ravenel Lane told police he found a man in his garage holding his power tools during the morning of July 31. When confronted, the man dropped the tools, calmly walked away and was seen leaving in a tan Mercury Grand Marquis or Ford Crown Victoria.

Based on video surveillance and a physical description, the thief is a bald Hispanic with a medium to heavy build in his mid to late 20s. He is 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and has a tattoo on the right side of his neck.
