City of Sugar Land Seeks Public Comments on 2020 Hazard Mitigation Plan

Sugar Land, TX – The city of Sugar Land will hold a virtual public workshop for the 2020 Hazard Mitigation Plan Update on Aug. 21, from noon to 1 p.m.  Utilize the following meeting link at to attend.

The city of Sugar Land is working to update the 2020 Hazard Mitigation Plan, a document intended to minimize or eliminate the long-term risk to human life and property from known hazards by identifying and implementing cost-effective mitigation actions. 

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requires a Hazard Mitigation Plan to be updated every five years.

The purpose of the Aug. 21 meeting is to review the Draft 2020 Hazard Mitigation Plan Update and solicit public comment on the plan.
