CONSENT AGENDA

 

All Consent Agenda items listed are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion.  There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Council Member requests, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered in its normal sequence on the agenda.

 

A.

SECOND CONSIDERATION: Consideration of and action on CITY OF SUGAR LAND ORDINANCE NO. 2095 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUGAR LAND, TEXAS AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BY REVISING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE III TO CREATE AN INDEPENDENT ETHICS REVIEW BOARD; REVISING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE IV BY DELETING THE EXISTING RULES OF ETHICAL CONDUCT AND ADOPTING A NEW CODE OF ETHICAL CONDUCT FOR CITY OFFICIALS; AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $2000 FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF. CONTRACTS AND AGREEMENTS

 

A.

Consideration of and action on authorizing execution of a Contract in the amount of $567,500.00 with Rosenberger Construction, LLC for Sugar Land Heritage Museum and Visitor Center build-out; and authorizing a budget reallocation in the amount of $50,000.00 to CIP MU1506 from CIP Fund Balance. Ms. Karen Ramirez, Management Assistant II and Mr. Martin Nicholas, President, Sugar Land Heritage Foundation.

WORKSHOP

A.

Review of and discussion on the commercial solid waste services for the Greatwood and New Territory annexation. Ms. Ilana Harris, Environmental Manager.

B.

Review of and discussion on update of the 2013 Parks Bond Projects. Mr. Joe A. Chesser, Director of Parks and Recreation, Ms. Keisha Seals, Engineer III, and Ms. Monique Johnson, Right of Way Services Manager.


C.

Review of and discussion on corporate communications draft Guiding Principles update. Ms. Jennifer May, Executive Director of Business and Governmental Affairs.

For the purpose of discussion with respect to the City Manager quarterly performance. Mr. Allen Bogard, City Manager.

THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL RESERVE THE RIGHT, UPON MOTION, TO SUSPEND THE RULES TO CONSIDER BUSINESS OUT OF THE POSTED ORDER. 

IN ADDITION TO ANY EXECUTIVE SESSION LISTED ABOVE, THE CITY COUNCIL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ADJOURN INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION AT ANY TIME DURING THIS MEETING FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSULTATION WITH THE ATTORNEY AS AUTHORIZED BY TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 551.071 TO DISCUSS ANY OF THE MATTERS LISTED ABOVE.

IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND THIS PUBLIC MEETING AND YOU HAVE A DISABILITY THAT REQUIRES SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS AT THE MEETING, PLEASE CONTACT THE CITY SECRETARY, (281) 275-2730.  REQUESTS FOR SPECIAL SERVICES MUST BE RECEIVED FORTY-EIGHT (48) HOURS PRIOR TO THE MEETING TIME. REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS WILL BE MADE TO ASSIST YOUR NEEDS.  CITY HALL IS WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE AND A SLOPED CURB ENTRY IS AVAILABLE AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE, WITH SPECIALLY MARKED PARKING SPACES NEARBY.  THE COUNCIL CHAMBER IS WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE AND SPECIAL SEATING IS PROVIDED.

THE FACILITY IS EQUIPPED WITH A HEARING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM, AND HEARING ASSISTANCE DEVICE IS AVAILABLE.
